Kings XI Punjab-Rajasthan Royals clash in IPL today. KL Rahul and Sanju Samson, who are in sparkling form, are coming face to face.
Rajasthan are confident of beating Chennai in their first match of the season. Though middle-order batting worries Rajasthan, the fact that Smith and Sanju are in form gives them relief. Sanju hit 74 off 32 balls against Chennai while Smith scored 69 off 47 balls.
David Miller, Robin Uthappa and the successful Jaiswal failed to shine in the first game. When it comes to bowling, spinners Rahul Thewatia, Archer and Shreyas Gopal excel. But Rajasthan have not reached full confidence in bowling.
Punjab came away with two wins and two losses. When they lost to Delhi in the Super Over, Punjab beat RCB by the captaincy. Punjab won the toss and elected to bat. It is also noteworthy that none of the Punjab bowlers' economy has crossed the eight mark against RCB.
Rahul has the best figures against Rajasthan. Rahul scored 275 runs in seven matches against Rajasthan. The batting average is 55. This includes all three half-centuries. Rahul is the third highest run scorer against Rajasthan in IPL history.
