Chartered Accountants

Chartered Accountants were the first accountants to form a professional body, initially established in Britain in 1854. The Edinburgh Society of Accountants (formed 1854), the Glasgow Institute of Accountants and Actuaries (1854) and the Aberdeen Society of Accountants (1867) were each granted a royal charter almost from their inception. The title is an internationally recognised professional designation.

Chartered Accountants work in all fields of business and finance. Some are engaged in public practice work, others work in the private sector and some are employed by government bodies.

The Periyar University was established by the Act 45 of Government of Tamilnadu in 1997. The University is named after a renowned social reformer popularly called "Thanthai Periyar". The University thus established had its origin with the three departments (Commerce, Geology and Mathematics) of Postgraduate extension center of Madras University functioning at Salem at that time. The University Grants Commissions, New Delhi bestowed the 2f status on 09.10.1998 and 12(B) status on 17.05.2005 to the Periyar University. The university is certified accrediated with NAAC. Vision: "Wisdom maketh world" is the vision of Periyar University, as enshrined in the logo. This is based on the Philosophy of "Thanthai Periyar" in whose name the University has been established, that man becomes man only through acquiring knowledge. This vision aims at spreading knowledge and quality education far and wide.

Situated at the outskirts of the historic and culturally rich city of Lucknow, the Indian Institute of Management (IIML), was established in 1984, by the Government of India, as a national level school of excellence in management science. IIML 's mission is to be a global, socially conscious and integrated school of management, towards management development, both in India and abroad.

International Management Institute - New Delhi, Delhi

Nestled in Qutab Institutional Area, International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi was established in 1981 in collaboration with IMI Geneva (now IMD, Lausanne). IMI is India’s first corporate sponsored Business School with sponsorship from corporate houses like RPG Enterprises, Nestle, ITC, SAIL, Tata Chemicals, BOC and Williamson Magor etc. Over a period of time in the last 28 years the Institute has acquired a truly global status. The Institute received UNDP assistance for promoting internationally oriented management education.
